Cost and limits

Do you pay per user for e-signature software?

For the people sending documents, usually yes - most plans are priced per seat. For the people signing them, almost never. Recipients do not need a licence on any mainstream tool, and on SignaCore they do not need an account either.

What a seat actually counts

A seat is somebody in your organisation who prepares and sends documents. Adding a colleague who needs to send things costs money on essentially every tool.

Recipients are not seats. Somebody who receives a document, signs it and leaves costs nothing on DocuSign, Adobe Acrobat Sign, Dropbox Sign or SignaCore.

Where the per-user model bites

When the allowance is also per user. A hundred envelopes per user per year means the only way to send more is to buy another seat, whether or not another person needs one.

SignaCore bills Business per active workspace user and does not meter sends, so capacity and headcount are separate decisions.

Try it on a real document.

Five documents a month are free and it asks for no card. Whoever you send to signs without creating an account.
