What is in an e-signature audit trail?

A useful audit trail answers five questions: who the document was sent to, how that person proved they controlled the address, when each step happened, from which IP, and exactly which version of the document they signed. Anything less and the trail describes an event without identifying the person in it.

What SignaCore records

For each recipient: the address the request was sent to, when the one-time code was issued and when it was passed, the IP address and browser that passed it, when they submitted, and the completed PDF built from their own answers.

For the sending workspace: every upload, every field added, moved or removed, every send and resend, every document view and download, and every void - each against the administrator who did it.

What a trail cannot do

It cannot prove that the person behind an email account is the human you believe them to be. Email verification proves control of an address, which is the ordinary standard for commercial agreements and is not identity verification.

If a document needs more - a government ID check, knowledge-based authentication, a notary - it needs a tool that provides that, and SignaCore does not.

Try it on a real document.

Five documents a month are free and it asks for no card. Whoever you send to signs without creating an account.
